Office Therapy Version 7.0
Includes the New CMS 1500 Claim
Form
Hagerstown, Maryland July 31, 2006 – DocuTrac, Inc. Behavioral Health Software Development
Corporation, announced today that they are on target for the October 1st
National Uniform Claim Committee’s deadline for the new CMS 1500 claim form.
The new
form accommodates the reporting of the National Provider Identifier (NPI).
According to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), use of the NPI will benefit
physicians by helping ensure that medical claims are processed on time and
payments are made correctly. Health Care Providers will no longer need
different identifying numbers when filing claims with various health plans.
Behavioral
health care providers as well as other providers seeking insurance
reimbursement will be required to use the CMS-1500 Claim Form. Office Therapy
lead developer Darrel Singleton has stated that the new form will be available
in Office Therapy Version 7 to be released prior to October 1st, the
date on which these claims can be accepted.
DocuTrac
has worked out a special arrangement with CIS - New Medical Forms for their
customers to purchase the new CMS-1500 forms. For information visit www.quicdoc.com/html/cms_1500_claim_form.html
