QuicDoc®
Enhancements
QuicDoc 7.51 Upgrade for Windows Vista (Nov 13,
2007)
- Enhanced - QuicDoc has been modified to use Vista-compatible file
locations for databases, documents and report files. Previously, these had
been located under the folder where QuicDoc was
installed.
Windows XP - Databases, documents and
attached files, report files are now located in
C:\Documents &
Settings\All Users\Shared Documents\DocuTrac\QuicDoc Std
\Data
\Documents
\Reports
Windows Vista -
Databases, documents and attached files, and report files are now located in
C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\DocuTrac\QuicDoc
Std
\Data
\Documents
\Reports
Important: Make
note of these locations for backup/restore purposes and if you are
sharing database files and documents in a network setting. If you are updating
from a pervious version, existing files are moved as part of the update.
For example, if you install the v7.5.1 update on an XP box, all
databases, documents, etc will be moved to the Vista-compatible locations (see
above). If you were sharing the data folder from a stand-alone
machine, note that the databases are no longer accessible on the network
from the new directories. You will need to remove the original share
on the data directory, and share the new data directory.
