Setup Referral Sources

Referral Icon Select Referrals from the side or top View(s) menu.

New Referral Source

tasks menu  Click Tasks to open the list and select Add a referral, or you can select New Referral Source from the top Referral Sources menu. Enter information, and click Ok to save.

 

Edit

Double click on name in list to open information form, or click Modify referral information on the Tasks bar. Make changes, and click Ok to save.

 

Delete

Select the name in the list. Select Delete Referral Source from right mouse or Referral Sources menu. Click Yes in dialog box to delete.

If the referral source is associated with one or more clients, you will not be able to delete, instead you can make the referral source inactive.

 

Email

If you are setup for email and have entered an email address for the referral source, you can create an email message. From the Write menu select Email. This opens your email message box. Type your message. Click Send as you would for any email message. The message is sent to your outbox to be sent.

Types of Referral

The referral pick list in the Insurance/Referral section of the Patient Information window is populated by your referral entries in the Referrals Sources window, and referrals entered directly in the Patient setup will also appear on the list in the Referral Sources window.

 

To edit the Referral Types list that is used in the Insurance/Referral section of the Patient Information window

 

From the Setup menu in the Patient window select Clinical Data Lists.
Select Types of Referral from the list and click Open.
To Add: Enter item in field below. Click the Add button.
 

To Edit: Double click on an item in the list. It will be entered in the edit field below. Make changes and click Rename.

To Delete: Click an item to highlight it, then click the Delete button.

Click Close to return to Select List dialog box. Then click Close to exit.
