Features

The electronic prescribing system allows you to track all pending prescriptions; track current and previous medications; check drug interactions and allergies; print patient hand-outs; and print  prescriber reports. Both systems offer the following three options for prescribing.

Standard Connect

If you are currently using Office Therapy simply access your account via any high-speed connection, wired or wireless, from office or home.  No additional software or hardware is needed. Features Include:

• Real-time eligibility and formulary information (only for covered patients) using the RxHub® managed care network.
• Complete record of prescriptions across an office or group.
• The system allows for true electronic pharmacy connections, as well as traditional prescribing by fax and print.

The First DataBank Drug List avoids errors. The search feature makes selecting drugs easy. In addition, the system displays a list of your selected, commonly used drug choices.

Advanced Connect
 
Advanced gives you all the features of the Standard Connect plus the following additional features:

• Automatic checking for drug and allergy interactions from First DataBank.
• Includes herbal and over-the-counter drug interactions.
• Comprehensive drug reference from Lexi-Comp, Inc. for complete drug information plus patient leaflets in 18 languages.

Formulary Connect

Formulary Connect gives you all the features of the Standard and the Advanced Connect plus the following:

• Patient-specific formulary information for over 2500 health plans nation-wide, including Medicaid and Medicare, from MediMedia Information Technology.

How to Sign Up

To sign up you will need a high speed internet connection, the most recent version of Office Therapy or QuicDoc-MD, and be current on annual maintenance.
