Enter authorizations and view sessions that have been applied to authorizations in the Authorizations window.

To enter a new authorization

Select the patient, and  then select Authorizations from the Patient menu, or select it from the pop-up menu when you right click in patient list.
 

1.Click the New button in Authorization window.
 
2.Enter the following information:
 
Select Insurance Company from drop down list.
Note: Insurance Companies must first be associated with a patient in the Patient Information form before they can appear in the drop down list for Authorizations.
 
Enter Authorization #, the Authorization date, and Start and End dates. Enter # of Sessions Allowed.
 
CPT Codes: Select from drop down list and click the Add button. Repeat for all allowed CPT codes. Use the Remove button to delete codes from the list box.

 

3.Enter other details you want to record in the Notes field.

 

4.Click OK to save.
 

How to Apply/Un-apply sessions

 

To schedule a treatment plan from the Authorizations window click the blue underlined text Schedule Treatment Plan.
 
Once entered, authorizations are listed in the Reminders window as they near expiration. They are also listed in the Patient's Authorizations tab.

 

Edit Authorization

Select the patient, and then double click an authorization in patient's Authorizations tab, Patient window to open it.
Click the Edit button, make changes. Click OK to save.

 

Delete Authorization

Double click an authorization in patient's Authorizations tab or right click and select Edit Authorization to open the Authorizations window.
Unapply any associated sessions.
Once all associated sessions are unapplied, click the Delete button below the authorizations list. Click Yes in the prompt window to delete.

 

Inactive Authorizations

To Make an Authorization Inactive:

Double click an authorization in client's Authorizations tab to open.
Click the Edit button.
Click to remove the check from the Authorization Active checkbox in the upper right.
Click OK to save. The authorization is removed from the list.

 

View Inactive Authorizations

Check the Show Inactive Authorizations check box in the upper right of the Authorizations window to all authorizations.
