Because QuicDoc's electronic prescribing system is a web-based service, a high speed internet connection is required. This could include cable modem, DSL, or dedicated leased line connections. First contact DocuTrac Sales at 800-850-8510 to begin the approval process to qualify you as a valid prescriber. Setup e- Prescribing After all the required materials for e-Prescribing are returned to DocuTrac, you will be contacted with your Prescription System User Name and User ID. These are entered in the Preferences, e-Prescription window which requires the System Administrator logon. From the Setup menu, select Preferences, and click on e-Prescription.
e-Prescription Rights Access rights to e-Prescriptions: There are four categories of access rights:
With the System Administrator logon, in the User window select a User. Click Set user access levels on the side taskbar. Click e-Prescription, and select the level of use by clicking an option button on the right. Click Ok to save the setting. Provider Information The DEA #, License #, and NPI #s are required for each provider prescribing. This information is entered in the provider details screen. While in the Users View, select a provider and click Modify User Information. Enter the DEA #, License #, and NPI #. Click Ok to save. Download Prescription Health Plan ID If you have subscribed to the formulary option, you will need to associate each of your patients with a health plan that the prescription system recognizes. If you have not subscribed to the formulary option you may skip this step. In order to select a health plan, the list of up-to-date health plans needs to be downloaded over the internet. Preferences Setup-Plan ID Download Logon to QuicDoc with the System Administrator logon. In the Setup...Preferences, click the e-Prescription tab. To begin the process, click Import Health Plans, and then click Import. You should update the list periodically to maintain current health plan information. Patient Setup-Plan ID Association Once downloaded, enter a patient's Health Plan ID in the Patient Setup, in the Insurance/Referral tab.
You may use the Search text box at the bottom to search the list. Select the plan, and click Ok, or double click on it to select it.
Check Subscription Status: Once set up for e-Prescription, you can check your Subscription status to keep track of the expiration date.
