By default you can record a Mental Status in Intake and Progress Notes, and in Treatment Plans. You can also set it up to appear in any note or report.
Recording a Mental Status The Mental Status consists of nineteen (19) categories (e.g., Mood, Affect) on two screens or pages. You can enter your own statements for the categories, or choose from the lists provided. Double-click on an item in the list to select and insert it. Follow the on screen instructions.
The Mental Status will print either as a narrative or in list form. This option is set in the Generate Print Notes window.
Edit Pick Lists
Next Page Click the Mental Status (Page 2) tab to advance to the second page for additional categories. Click the Mental Status (Page 1) tab to go back.
Normal Mental Status Click Normal Mental Status at the bottom of the page to automatically insert statements for each category reflective of normal functioning. Click Clear All Fields to erase ALL statements at once.
User Defined Fields Click the blue underlined text User Defined Fields in the Mental Status window to setup your own Mental Status Categories and pick lists. You can set up three additional categories. How to setup your own categories
