To set preference options in QuicForms select File... Preferences.
Sound Effects: Set Sound Effects (ON/OFF). Sound effects can be heard when moving from record to record and when selecting patients on the Import From QuicDoc screen.
Spell Check: Set the default Spell Check Dictionary (Standard or Medical).
Printer Offsets/Field Position
To set printer offsets select Preferences from the File menu in QuicForms. Set Printer Offsets for text, check boxes, or circles. Some printers may not place fields in exactly the same position on the form when printing.
If your check marks, circles, or text are not printing where they should, you can adjust the position where they print. For example, to raise check marks, change the Top offset setting under Checks to a negative number up to -320. Or to lower it, change the offset to a number up to 320. Follow the same procedure to move the mark to the left (0 to -320) or right (0 to 320). Changing the offsets will change the position of all fields changed globally.
Note: A value of 360 is equal to 1/4 inch, 180 is equal to 1/8 inch, 90 is equal to 1/16 inch, and so on.
You can also adjust individual fields.
How to Adjust Field Positions
Printer Font for QuicForms
To change the Printer Font setting for QuicForms, select Preferences from the File menu.
In the Print Font area, click the down arrow in the font filed to select a Font (Arial or Times New Roman). Use the down arrow, pick list to select a Font Size (8, 9, or 10). Forms will print using the selected font and font size.
Set Zoom
Set Zoom if forms print with right or bottom margins cutoff. This occurs on some printers due to a larger non-printable margin area. The Zoom setting will re-scale the form to 95%, 90%, 85% of its original size.
To close and save changes, click OK.
