EMDR Specialty Notes for QuicDoc...

QuicDoc Professional Edition EMR Software has specialty note types to help EMDR Trained Clinicians

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is listed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) on the National Registry which is a searchable online registry of treatment interventions. This National Registry, NREPP, cites EMDR as “…a one-on-one form of psychotherapy that is designed to reduce trauma-related stress, anxiety, and depression symptoms associated with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and to improve overall mental health functioning."

EMDR, a nationally recognized therapy, was originated by Dr. Francine Shapiro in the late nineteen-eighties. EMDR is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. To date, EMDR has helped an estimated two million people of all ages relieve many types of psychological stress. For more information on EMDR visit the EMDR International Association web site at: www.emdria.org.

The flexibility of embedding EMDR documentation content in QuicDoc enables providers to capture and report information on EMDR treatment, as well as track patient progress.
